I doubt it, doing that would cut into their sales of vista, which are already low as it is. But you never know, MS has done lots of strange things over the years, and has back flipped on just as many.

true..it's a pain though..i don't want vista, but i do want dx10.Are there xp skin mods for vista? ;/

Humm, its seems that story looked like they Didn't wanted to touch XP anymore, and go for Vista, i wonder if they are ripping their hair apart.

I am impressed MS is still going to release another service pack for windows xp. I thought for sure they would stop just to try and force consumers to buy vista.

Microsoft have f**ked over there XBOX 360 customers with the Elite version so why wouldn't they do it with Vista and put DX10 in XP.If it does happen i can safely say i'll NEVER be buying another Microsoft product again unless i'm forced to.

Well too bad for micros**t Xp works perfectly infact it works too well and at a much lower memory requirement! My games run faster under Xp than Vista in the future i hope the OS gets better features than just faster install times!

windows vista is a big scam, no wonder only 244 copies were sold in china, the chinese are not stupid. gates likes to rip off the people who made him rich. people i have talked to are all pissed off about buying vista and the missleading advertising.

dx10 uses more advanced and different file types, xp just cant work with it, it wasnt made to, it needs dx9, unless u can make some kind of switcher or part loader

if MS is smart, (which they can be sometimes) they will notice that not as many people are jumping on the vista bandwagon fast enough. their gaming division has felt it nessessary to limit their new games to vista, and that may be a mistake given the low sales on it. you can only sell as many copies as systems that will run it. putting DX10 on XP may not help vista much, but it would make a lot more people happy. besides, they can always make SP1 for vista have something mindblowing in it that makes XP look like crap.

I want the green logo in SP3 and well thats about it... oh perhaps a fix to recent stability issues. Don't know about the rest of you but XP SP1 crashed less than SP2 + all current updates.
