About the Game

Nordic Ashes: Twilight of Yggdrasil takes place after you conquer the original nine realms of Yggdrasil. Your mission is to face new challenges, new enemies, and defeat Fenrir — the terror of the gods, son of Loki and slayer of Odin during Ragnarok. Furthermore, three new realms have been discovered for you to explore: Groundheim, Krystalheim, and Sandheim. Each realm introduces unique enemies, mechanics, and outstanding bosses. That expansion of the world continues the Norse-inspired roguelite journey in a meaningful way.

The DLC centers on a story involving Gnöki, an EPIC character who originally appears as a final boss but decides to become a lieutenant instead. You must complete a hero quest to save baby Gnökis trapped in each realm and convince the real Gnöki to join your team. As a result, the new character unlocks after you finish that quest. Additionally, the DLC includes three themed skins for existing survivors (Axeldör, Thyra, and M.I.S.S.I.N.G.) tied to each new realm. The expansion adds real depth to the roguelite loop with new relics that create stronger builds and more synergies.
