Ever run out of skill slots while great skills still wait on your wish list? The original Slots Slots Slots stopped working after the version 5 update, so it needed a rebuild. The More Skill Slots mod rebuilds it on the new scripts, adding up to 12 pages of extra slots. Consequently, the build you planned finally fits.

Tab List More Slots V5: Holds the whole mod in one 2.8MB archive that unpacks into a single modSSS_v5 folder.

Install in a Few Steps

Download the mod and extract the archive to your PC.
Remove any older Slots Slots Slots version, such as modz_SSS6, from your Mods folder. Two versions at once cause script compile errors, so this comes first.
Copy the contents of the extracted folder into your The Witcher 3 game folder, so you end up with Mods\modSSS_v5\content.
Start the game and let the scripts compile during the first launch.
Load a save, then equip your skills again if the game unequipped them. No skill points are lost.
Open the character menu and press T or Y to switch pages.
To tweak the mod, edit two files in Notepad inside Mods\modSSS_v5. Use content\scripts\local\sss\ASlotsSlotsSlotsUserCfg.ws for pages, mutagens, mutations, unlocks, and colors. Use content\scripts\local\sss\logic\SSSDupeMenu.ws for the page keys.
To uninstall, move your skills to page 1, then delete Mods\modSSS_v5.

Compatibility and Tips

The mod needs game version 5 and no other mods.
It replaces eight game script files, so other script mods that touch them need merging with Script Merger.
The files it replaces are inventoryComponent.ws, PlayerAbilityManager.ws, itemsTypes.ws, characterMenu.ws, characterMenuDupe.ws, commonMenu.ws, guiBaseInventoryComponent.ws, and playerWitcher.ws.
If T and Y do nothing, another mod probably replaces commonMenu.ws, so merge it or switch to the classic menu.
A gamepad cannot switch tabs in the new menu, so Steam Deck and controller players should use the classic menu.
To enable the classic menu, close the game and open dx12user.settings in Documents\The Witcher 3. On DirectX 11, open user.settings instead. Then set UseLegacySkillTree=true under [RemasterCombat], adding that section if it is missing.
The classic menu shows the classic skills, and setting the value back to false restores the new menu.
The new menu has no page indicator beside the slots, so the bottom bar and a notification show the page.
Separate mutagens per page in the new menu still need in-game testing. In the classic menu, rare mutagen colors may look wrong.
