Fallout 4 is not ugly, but it certainly isn't the most impressive game when it comes to graphics quality. A lot of fans voiced their disappointment at the game's graphics quality, but the design team insists that this was – and still is – a conscious design decision to keep their focus on gameplay.

"Everything that we do is a balance," argued Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines. "We could make the best looking game possible, but we dial some of that back in order to allow for all of these other things."

Fallout 4 producer Todd Howard confirmed that it will run 30 frames per second at 1080p on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There is no such limitation on PC as long as your hardware is powerful enough.
