Riot's new Hexakill mode has six man teams

Hexakill

Riot games has been running League of Legends for a good few years now and is doing very well with it. In-fact, it's turning it into one of the world's fastest growing sports, but that doesn't mean it can sit on its laurels. To help keep the game fresh, Riot has been introducing "featured," game modes every one and a while. These include the One For All, mode, which had everyone playing as the same character, then there was the 1vs1 and 2vs2 game play modes, and now there's Hexakill, which adds a sixth player to your team.

"We’re adding a sixth champ to each side on Summoner’s Rift. Same rules, same map, more champions," said Riot in a quick blog post.

"Double junglers, roaming supports and six man wombo combos are all on the table for this new mode. Experiment with team comps and discover new metas as you seek to hear the ultimate announcement, "Hexakill.""

Hexakill is a reference to the kill streak announcements that happen when playing League of Legends. To date, the best you could hope for was Pentakill, if you managed to nab the killing blow against every enemy player in a short period of time. With this game mode though and that extra player, you could potentially net a Hexakill.

Question is, are any of you good enough to get it? Best I've ever managed was a quadkill.

Hexakill starts up on the 20th February.
