Molyneux: "I Made Some Horrendous Mistakes" In Godus

Once more, it's time for Peter Molyneux's nearly bi-annual admission that he have screwed up his last game and his promise to heed the lessons learned in his next overly-ambitious title.

This time around, Molyneux admitted that he has "made some horrendous mistakes" in Godus.

"Firstly I don't think the community can ever be at blame," he said in a video update directed to Godus community. "I think we need to appreciate all the range of comments from the positive to the negative. I do however take blame and put blame on my shoulders.

"I think - and hindsight is always a perfect way of looking at life - you can look back in the past and think why did I do this? But there is a catalogue of things that I did badly and incorrectly because I'd never done a Kickstarter campaign before, I had never released on Steam Early Access before, I'd never done a mobile game before and all of these things... I made some horrendous mistakes."

Molneux admitted that the development team had to pay up for his bad decisions in all the extra time and effort it took to bring the game to its originally-intended form.

Seasoned readers will remember that Molyneux made similar confessions ahead on Black and White 2, Fable 2 and Fable 3. He is currently working on a new game called "The Trail" but he is not sharing any more info until it is close to release.
