More Bad News For Manhunt 2

After UK's ban and ESRB's Adults Only rating, the latest stab plunging into manhunt 2 came from its target platforms' owners, Sony and Nintendo.

"It's currently our policy not to allow the playback of AO-rated content on our systems", said a Sony Spokesman following the Manhunt 2 American ESRB rating of "Adults Only". And Nintendo didn't stray too much: " As stated on Nintendo.com, Nintendo does not allow any AO-rated content on its systems", was Nintendo official response.

But most disturbing is the fact that although Manhunt 2 has never been slated for Xbox nor Xbox 360, but Microsoft has officially announced that they wouldn't allow it on their system if it ever would.

Faced by North American, British and Irish bans and expecting German as well as Australian ban, Rockstar had little to do but to suspend Manhunt 2.

" Take-Two Interactive Software has temporarily suspended plans to distribute Manhunt 2 for the Wii or PlayStation platforms while it reviews its options with regard to the recent decisions made by the British Board of Film Classification and Entertainment Software Rating Board. We continue to stand behind this extraordinary game. We believe in freedom of creative expression, as well as responsible marketing, both of which are essential to our business of making great entertainment", said Rockstar in an official statement.
