Nintendo To Bring Revolution to E3

Nintendo To Bring Revolution to E3

There are signs that Nintendo may be learning from its past mistakes, as it has become evident that the company is trying to get the jump on its rivals with its next-generation console, codenamed revolution.

According to Nintendo's PR man, Toyoda Ken, the company is focusing on this year's E3 show, as the launching pad for the revolution. Ken went on to say that the company is still considering its options and has not decided whether it will use the exhibition to demonstrate the actual console, its capabilities or just to release concept information about it. From Mr. Ken's statements it becomes apparent that Nintendo must be very close to having a prototype revolution</> ready, if we are to believe that it may be ready to present it to the industry at E3 in May.

It would seem that Nintendo plans to make as much noise about revolution as possible at E3 without revealing too much to its competitors. The plan would be to create a positive buzz without leaving Nintendo's new console open to counter-attack.

Nintendo fans should however, be aware that Toyada Ken also stated, very conclusively that the Japanese gaming giant is embarking on a different direction than our competitors. When asked about how revolution will measure up to its competition, he replied fun isn't something that can be expressed in figures, and we are ever mindful of how we can illustrate the difference offered by our particular brand of fun.
