My opinion on this subject is, the **** consoles will never be better than a PC, unless maybe they change the console into something else... The PC's get upgraded every 2 or 3 months, and will always be better... Now compare that to how often a console comes out, and how it runs and sh*t. Not good, cuz see, the PC would be twice if not more better than the console. Sure, they might add some cool stuff to the console, but the PC out does it w/ flying colors... But then again, what do i know?...

The X-Box will basically be a portable gaming computer that's equal to todays standards. It is PIII 550mhz I think, about the same as today's average PC.

You all suck. PSX has a 33MHz chip with 2MB RAM! The only reason it runs games is because it was designed to and because developers tweak their code to suit the consoles needs. Consoles suck ***. PSX and N64 graphics are 320x640 res! and PSX2 and DC are 640x480! HOW GAY! CONSOLES F**KING BLOW!! I'd like to see you plat Half-Life: Counterstrike on a PSX2 with a gay controler! hahahaha! consoles blow!

I also forgot. X-BOX is going to kick ***. 150 million polygons per sec and a PIII-733MHz Processor with 64MB RAM! PSX2 only has a 300MHz with 32MB RAM and does only 25 million polygons per sec! how gay is PSX and PSX2?

the xbox is just microsofts way of continuing with their world wide domination. Hey, if you want to know how bad the XBox ix gonna be compared to the PC, the guts of the XBox are gonna be pathetic compared to the newer, 2001 PCs. We are probally gonna be at 2.5-3GHz Procesors, 1GBRam, atleast 128MB 3d Accerators (I have a 64MB GEForce2 Ahnialator Ultra right now, that makes the PS2 look like an NES compared to my PC. Heck, I can run Q3A or HL:(Insert mod here), at atleast 1600x1200 resolution) and other things before Late 2001.Look, consoles will ALWAYS be inferior to PCs. A Console is for a poor person. Digital smoke, please, take an english course.But I get what you are saying. PC Programmers are idiots. Well, without PCs, you wouldnt even have a console! And a PC can slap around your lil consoles like a redheaded stepchild. And there are decent driving and fighting games for the PC (Well, not fighting like Tekken [CRAP] and Virtua Fighter, but some other ones) are hard to find. Like the Need For Speed series is pretty good. Plus how do you know realism for racing! Have you ever driven a Mustang (Not riden in one, but actaully drove one at racing speeds of 100km/h+)? Probally not.But PCs will always be better than consoles. Why? After 2 years, if we hate the guts of our machine, we can UPGRADE to make it better. Also, we can get better framerates (Consoles max out at 40FPS on atleast 90% of TV/Consoles/I forgot which one), Better internet, and also, we can speak english. But a major advantage is that with a PC you can do alot more than a Console. Example(s). Can you do word processing, CD Burning, or play Q3A or UT with more than 12 people on a console? NOT!And also, some PCs made by dell are pretty cheap to get now, so maybe instead of trying to get a PS2, just get a PC. A BleemPS2 will come out within 1-2 years. Also, another thing. Can you update a game with patches if the producers fogot to add something with a console? HECK NO!

The PC shall kick all console **** soon.What I realy hate about console users is that when something gets ported from the PC to the console, they always say that the game is better on the console because of higher polygon counts. Well not **** sherlock, the PC version of the game was made before the port so it has to be better graphicly after the port.

Who cares, dreamcast and sega both suck. I can't remember when the last good game came out for the dreamcast... hmm when I think about it, nothing good ever came out for the dreamcast.I am waiting to sell my dreamcast and buy a playstation2 ...

I think consoles are OK, but not internet on a TV! For gods sake! Am I gonna view text on a 20inch screen at 640x480 resolution!? Heck no!Also, cable for PS2 and DC are gonna be around $55 USD! (patches, download free games)That RTS game you talked about, that has been in planning for PC for a long time and it comes with a beeper that you are paged on (if it wer on your cell i know i would be annoyed - intterupted calls and can't turn off)Personally, i think this console conversion is a bad thing. The best thing about consoles it that the games (atleast the good ones) don't need to be patched and you don't have to wait for it to turn on, doesn't run slow... etcDon't get me wrong, I love my 700 MHz Thunderbird, i just hate patched games. If console developers have a way to put patches on their games (which would take memory card space wouldn't it?) then they would have no reason (except b/c they are just damned wonderful) to put out full games. How many games are there on the market today that run perfectly right out of the box?I mean Sierra On-Line has put out a beta of a patch!!!I think that downloading capabilities should be kept for PCs and console internet should be reserverd for multiplayer.

Everyone goes on about how the new consoles will make the PC look like a snail with its shell nailed down but the fact of the matter is that all the "Next Generation Technology!!" in consoles only throw polygons around in REALLY low resolutions. Has anyone ever tried running Unreal Tornament in 640x480, 32bit Full Detail on a 1GHz+ PC and you get about 110FPs (at least).Lets see your Playstation 2 run Unreal Tornament in 1280 x 1024 32bit Full detail at 60FPs then.Thought not, Nuff said.

I think that this whole thing just goes to show thatthe dreamcast is better than the PS2. While all of the ps2freaks out there our still waiting on there system to shipI am at home playing my system at half the price with better games.

hey TPolice, why don't you go smoke some more of your moms marijuana, cable for the PS2 and PC will be the same price weather or not you want it to be. All you need to do is hook the cable line that you have in your PC and put it in the PS2, ~ hey, ..that was hard to do =P.

Check this out guys, for the statistics: Both p2 and DC is capable of the same quality ... the only advantage of the P2 is the "$h1tty" DVD player and that it is a newer Console, which means it is a little faster , BUT both of these consoles are 128 BIT / which quite frankly, the P2 can't go beyond that nor can the DC .. this makes the 2 consoles, almost equal, other than one is cheaper by more than half, and has over 48 more games than the other.. that would be the Dreamcast, I like my dreamcast and am not trying to buy a P2 anytime soon.

Ok, All I have to say is one thing, NHL2001, I have a 600 mhz (ok, it's only 450 overclocked to 600) Pentium 3 with only a geforce2 mx. And Nhl 2001 looks about 500 times better than it does on playstation2 so whoever thought that ps2 was/does look better then a high quality pc was totally wrong, hell it can't even beat my "slow" 600!

C'mon guys. its only video games. buy a decent computer. you can play both system's games faster and with better graphics if you can manage to pitch a few bucks. really.
