Microsoft has allocated a budget of 1 billion dollars to fix the Red Ring of Death epidemic, and it has finally kicked in.
Repairing dead Xbox 360s is now fully automated, thanks to a new Xbox 360 repair option on its official service.xbox.com site.
In addition to registering your console, Users will also be able to schedule repairs and keep track of them. Furthermore, the site gives a $5 discount for out-of-warranty repairs.
On the other side, several users have reported failing to register their consoles for no apparent reason. Users received an error message "A problem occurred, and your request cannot be completed" and were asked to "Contact support".
