Destiny 2 has been rumored to be in the works for some time now, but we may have our first piece of evidence to support that theory, though it is an unnamed source. The person in question claims that a friend with contacts with Activision was told it was being produced and would come to PC too - something that the original Destiny was never planned for.
Other sources are detailed in the extensive NeoGAF post on Destiny reveals, several of which confirm the PC rumor, as well as stating that Activision subsidiary studio, Vicarious Visions, is also working on the game, though in what capacity is currently unknown.
Destiny 2 is planned to feel like a new game, rather than an expansion. It will ditch older planets and characters, as well as introducing a lot of new content and activities for players. A big change we're told will come to pass is the game feeling more populated. Instead of isolated outposts, players will be able to navigate cities and settlements, so there could also be a lot more NPCs in Destiny 2.
PlaySpaces will be so much bigger too. We're told that just the Saturn playspace in Destiny 2 will be larger than all currently exciting playspaces in Destiny.
Destiny 1 content will likely return to the game in the future as a bit of a throwback for players or as a way to expand on what's available for new gamers to the franchise.
What kind of changes would you like to see in a large-scale Destiny sequel?
