Grim Fandango is one of the best remembered point and click games of its generation, despite the fact that it was a bit of a commercial flop. This love from fans continues today and for years there's been calls for a rerelease, or a remastering or even a remake, but they fell on deaf ears. However at E3 this year, Sony announced a partnership with Tim Schafer's double fine to bring the game to the PS4 and Vita and now we have a second proclamation: the PC is getting a version too.
Not just that though, it's coming to Mac and Linux as well, though it's not quite clear when any versions will be released just yet.
"Reap your heart out! We're pleased to announce Grim Fandango will also be available on PC, Mac, and Linux alongside PlayStation 4 and Vita," reads the official tweet from Double Fine.
We don't know a lot about what the remastering of Grim Fandango can bring, but we can assume it will come with much higher resolution textures, better compatibility with modern operating systems and perhaps an upgrade to the control system, which wasn't the easiest at the time.
What would you guys like to see in the remake?
