It appears that Valve has decided on a final release date for H-L 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2 and Portal; all three games are expected on October 9.
The news comes as little surprise as Valve had already hinted at an October release. It is not yet clear however if the console versions, X360/PS3, will also be released on the same date. It is clear that Valve desires a simultaneous launch on all three platforms but nothing has been confirmed yet.
What seems certain at this time is that come October 9 PC gamers will be able to download the PC version through Valve's Steam service or buy a copy in stores. Europe is likely to get its copies a few days later.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two is being developed by Valve for the PC and XBox 360 and by EA UK's Chertsey, Surrey office for the PlayStation 3.
