Battlegrounds is the pioneer on-line, 3D, multiplayer fighting game. OMF:BG represents a serious change in the philosophy of making fighting games. Instead of 2 players facing off in a small space, Battlegrounds features up to sixteen simultaneous players in huge arenas, fighting in team battles or all-out brawls!

Our goal is to free you, the player, from the restrictions of the past, and allow you to fight the way you've always wanted to. Just like your favourite martial-arts movies, you can go toe-to-toe with several opponents, use nearby objects as weapons, and integrate terrain and hazards into your fighting strategy.

I played the first on my 386 i liked the upgrade features, the fighting, etc. But this one sucks. I mean the bots dont handle at all, the action is one way without any excitement, etc. I hope this build isnt near any complete version because they need all the time they can get to make this as good a title as OMF 2047 was back then.

i jsut downlaoded the full version of the game... if u take time to get used to the fighting and train... the fighting system is quite good... the graphics are good cos they can run on slow p3 computers.. but what sux... damn multiplayer... the developers thought "forget about the creativity in omf2097... lets make it an online game and forget about singleplayer..." that would work if there was mroe than 3 ppl online at the same time!!! if they wanted to make it succeed online.. they should have concentrated on the single player... cos 2097 is like the gran turismo of fighting games... win battles, do up ur robot, train ur strengths, practice and enter tournaments... then take ur done up robot online.... but nooo all it is now is use a crappy character u cant create with a gay name and pre-programmed attributes, and fight in tournaments and play online with 2 or 3 people and cos im in aus... suffer 300 latency n very laggy unplayable multiplayer

Well i must say f*ck you guys that don't like multiplayer games. If you gave em a real shot instead of setting out to hate them, you might like them. If you scraped together 10 - 20 dollars more a month to pay the broadband fee, maybe got a decent system, stopped being stereotypical anti social geeks and tried multiplayer in games like battlefield, americas army, planetside, everquest, ragnarok, sims, star wars galaxies, enemy territory, half life, day of defeat, counter strike, or anything like those games you might realise that multiplayer rocks your socks off. give it a try, Peace.

omg llama i cant believe i downloaded it becaus eof reading a couple of a positive post...THIS GAME SUX!! i played it for about 2 hours before realising there was no australian servers for it and alot of programs like all seeing eye that dont support this shit game. this is the type of game that the minority plays. for over 295 meg dl dont waste ur time people.
