History Channel: Civil War - General strategies

When you finish securing an area, reload your weapon. By doing this you will have a fully loaded weapon in case you are spotted by an enemy.

Reloading a weapon can be a time-consuming process. It pays to plan your reloading time and engage in hand-to-hand combat when facing a greater enemy force. Keep mobile and be aware of your perimeter when engaging.

One of the most important concepts in warfare, the high ground offers you a better vantage point and firing position.

When you are in a stealth mission, stay out of areas with lights and the enemy cannot see you. Note: If you fire a shot they will be able to spot you.

While you are shooting your enemy, move from side to side. This will help you avoid enemy bullets.

If you cannot see the enemy because of the trees, use your crosshairs. If it turns red it means that you are aiming at an enemy. If it turns green then you are aiming at your allies.

In the battlefield you will find wagons, stone wall and baskets. Use them as cover while you are reloading or getting suppressed.

When your health is running low, crouch and use wagons and nest to cover until you see a medi-kit. Note: This only works in some missions.

Private 5 points: Kill 20 of your enemies.

Sergeant 15 points: Kill 50 of your enemies.

Lieutenant 50 points: Kill 100 of your enemies.

Captain 75 points: Kill 250 of your enemies.

Colonel 100 points: Kill 500 of your enemies.

General 125 points: Kill 750 of your enemies.

Pistoleer 50 points: Kill 100 of your enemies with your pistol.

Knife Master 50 points: Kill 75 of your enemies with your knife.

Melee Hero 30 points: Kill 50 of your enemies in close combat.

War Survivor 10 points: Complete the game on the Easy or higher difficulty setting.

War Veteran 20 points: Complete the game on the Normal or higher difficulty setting.

War Hero 30 points: Complete the game on the Hard difficulty setting.

Journalist 40 points: Find all secret photographs in the game.

Bookworm 40 points: Find all secret documents in the game.

Fredericksburg - Sharpshooter 10 points: Complete the Fredericksburg mission with an accuracy above 75.

Fredericksburg - Deadeye 15 points: Complete the Fredericksburg mission with an accuracy above 95.

Gettysburg - Soldier 5 points: Complete the Gettysburg mission.

Gettysburg - Sharpshooter 10 points: Complete the Gettysburg mission with an accuracy above 75.
