XR7: EarthStrike is a traditional shoot-em-up arcade game (with 5 fun levels) written in Visual C++ with DirectX 9 (but also compiles with v8).
The game depicts three classic gaming styles: Galaxian, horizontal scrolling and vertical scrolling. The game was not written to reflect, in any manner, the state-of-the-art in gaming but rather to demonstrate a complete game built with C++ and DirectX that could be understood by those who are new to game development.
Demonstrated in the game is the use of 3D models rendered on the fly; use of particle systems; a simple DirectX-based GUI; data file parsing; elementary bytecode generation; sprite rendering and other fundamentals of multimedia programming.

I have a 400Mhz Oc'ed to 6Ghz with 4Gig pc3500 Ram oc'ed to run at 566Mhz in Dual Chan. I get a bench of 15,000 and change on 3dmark03

Id like to take the time to say thank you to all the peeps that emailed me for the site to dl the source for D4. I had an alarming number of people overflowing my email in regard to just this issue. I wish you all the best of luck with this and for those that dont believe...sorry you dont have the mentality to admitt to the possibility.

Its like a engine test not a true real game.Upcoming game designers might like it but total 'meh' to anyone else.
