Microsoft IllumiRoom Expands Game Screen To The Whole Room

Perhaps one of the most interesting CES exhibits is Microsoft’s IllumiRoom which extends the gaming area to the fill the walls around the PC/TV screen.

The new system uses Kinect and a projector to make snow fall on the wall behind the screen or make lava broil across the floor.

Price and release date were not divulged during CES, but more information is set to be revealed during the ACM CHI conference in Paris in April. In the meanwhile, you can check IllumiRoom’s gameplay video on YouTube.
