Microsoft Renews Killer Instinct Trademark

Microsoft announced that it has renewed its trademark for the 17 years old one-on-one brawler, Killer Instinct.

“With all due respect to our friends in the media who like to frequent trademark sites, we thought we’d break this one ourselves. :),” the company said on its PlayXBLA website.

“Our legal eagles have authorized us to say: We have either renewed or refiled a trademark application in various jurisdictions.”

Most likely, this means that the game will be ported to XBLA and nothing more.
