Nintendo's Wii U console might have come down in price in the past couple of years, but it is still the same model of hardware that was released way back in 2012.
The same goes for the gamepad, but in a new video that's designed to show off its current hot seller, Mario Kart 8, Nintendo showed someone using a gamepad that looks very different, featuring a smaller bezel and a larger screen.
It could be a trick of the light of course, or the fact that it's out of focus and maybe the guy holding it has huge hands, but it does seem different.
It happens just a few seconds in to the advert above and it's a really short shot. Oddly though, in other shots he appears to be holding the original gamepad, which suggests this is just some photo trickery, as why would Nintendo 'slip up' and show unannounced hardware if it had the original handy?
What do you think of the video? Does it look legitimate?
