Although Japan has long been considered to have the largest and most loyal PlayStation fan base, but new information from the Japanese front suggests a change.
According to the Tokyo-based research firm Enterbrain Inc., Nintendo's Wii has sold 1.95 Million units in Japan since its release on December 2nd. Almost twice as much as the 812000 Sony achieved since it introduced the PlayStation 3 to the Japanese market on November 11th, 2006.
Details on the weekly sales are not yet available, but reports from other sources indicate that the sales gap is only growing larger.
