EA Rebrands FIFA 12 Wii As FIFA 13 And Sells It For Full Price

Sports games are generally famous for annual sequels with very little differences, but it seems that EA has decided to take that a few steps further by rebranding the Wii version of FIFA 12 to FIFA 13 and releasing without changing anything!

To be more precise, EA did actually bother to change the logo and update a few kits and players transfers. The company however didn’t even try to change the menus and the front end to disguise the fact that they are selling last year’s game for the full price of a new one.

lol

Lulz omg... and this game is being over-advertised in my country, hiring Messi and shit too, on tv everywhere. More money on ads doesn't mean it's a better game. Rethink the funding allocation.

punish them all

we have to make EA know,. they should not take gamers for idiot. id say, we should torrent and distribute EA games , make them apologize for their insult. dont buy from EA. just download them, copy it for friends, DO NOT BUY EA/ BOYCOTT

wise up kid

How about you dont buy games from EA nor torrent them, instead you never play them at all. You see, several games from EA have actual advertising (especially the sports franchises), and that makes EA money even if you play a pirated copy of the game and see those ads. So unless you don't play their games the joke's on you. Be smart...

I believe they did this

I believe they did this because the wii U will be released in a month or so, why bother porting the new game to a console thats about to die? If this is th3 case then i expect EA to have ported fifa 2013 to the wii u already. Also who plays fifa? PES is much better...

Maybe

If this is the case then ea should not be selling it for full price. whatever the reason ea should be charging for the work done not playing on the buyers who do not notice they are being taken advantage of. they should at least disclose this. Just my opinion.

I dont see it

Sports games are generally famous for annual sequels with very little differences, but it seems that EA has decided to take that a few steps further by rebranding the Wii version of FIFA 12 to FIFA 13 and releasing without changing anything!. Okay but then you add that they actually DID change some things so there is alittle differences between their FIFA 12 and FIFA 13. So i dont see where the problem is, basicly this artical was a waste of time.

this is why its a problem.

its a problem because the other systems received the update. The 360 and ps3 have everything updated. so this article is saying if you own fifa 12 for wii you already own fifa 13 for wii. except for the updated roster. the ps3 and 360 versions have gotten full updates. here is an article so you will understand
