Xbox One Already Shipped To Some Customers

Microsoft confirmed today that "a very small number" of Xbox One consoles were shipped to their lucky owners nearly 2 weeks ahead of the console's November 22nd official launch date.

"Due to a retail partner’s system issue, a very small number of Xbox One consoles were shipped to consumers before the 11/22 street date," explained Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb. "We’re pleased to see the initial response to Xbox One has been so positive, but given we are still putting the finishing touches on our games, UI and online services, as well as confidential partner and media agreements, these consoles units will be restricted from connecting to Xbox Live until closer to our launch date."

A few hours ago, Youtube user MoonlightSwami posted a series of unboxing videos for the Xbox One he received from Target. Needless to say, the videos were removed from YouTube promptly. Another early Xbox One receiver tried to make a quick buck out of the opportunity by selling it on eBay for $9,995. However, he ended up cancelling the auction after discovering that the console would be largely useless without the day one patch.
